Is Your Roof Looking Tired, Faded or Damaged?

Your roof takes the brunt of the Aussie sun, storms, and years of wear. Faded colour, cracked tiles, rust spots and lifting ridge caps are all early warning signs. Left alone, small issues turn into expensive problems inside your home.

A roof restoration fixes those problems before they spread. We clean, repair, re-bed, prime and seal your existing roof, so it looks sharp again and keeps water out for years to come. Restoration also costs a fraction of the price of a full re-roof. That is why most homeowners start here, rather than replacing a roof that still has life left in it.

Still weighing it up? Read why roof restoration is a smart investment for a plain-English look at what you get back. If you want to check your own roof first, our guide to the signs your roof needs restoration covers the ones that matter most.

Need Emergency Roof Repairs? We've got you covered.

When storms hit or a sudden leak appears, you need fast and reliable help. Scorpion Roofing handles emergency roof leak repairs across Greater Western Sydney, seven days a week. We find the source, stop the water, and protect your ceilings and insulation from further damage.

Leaks behave differently depending on your roof. On a tile roof, water usually gets in through cracked or slipped tiles, failed pointing along the ridge, or worn valley irons. Tile roof repair usually means replacing the damaged tiles and re-pointing the ridge capping properly. On a metal roof, leaks tend to start at rusted sheets, loose or backed-out screws, and failed flashing around penetrations. Colorbond roof repairs generally involve re-screwing, replacing damaged sheets, and treating rust before it spreads any further.

Blocked or damaged gutters cause a surprising number of leaking rooftops. Water backs up under the roof edge instead of draining away, then finds its way inside. Our guttering services fix that at the source, and our guide to expert guttering services in Western Sydney explains how to spot the problem early.

Not sure how serious the damage is? Book a free roof inspection and we will give you a straight answer before you spend anything. For urgent help right now, call 0430 847 744.

What's Included in a Roof Restoration?

Every Scorpion Roofing restoration follows the same proven process, so you know exactly what you are paying for. We start with a high-pressure roof clean that strips years of dirt, moss and chalking, then carry out a full roof inspection so nothing gets missed. Damaged tiles and metal sheets are replaced, rust is treated on metal roofs, and ridge caps are re-bedded and finished with flexible pointing on tile roofs.

Once the repairs are done, we apply a premium primer, followed by multiple coats of premium roof membrane or metal roof coating. That rooftop sealer is the part that locks out water, blocks UV damage, and gives your roof its finished colour. A final quality inspection closes out the job before we pack up and leave the site clean.

This is what modern roof restoration should look like. Nothing gets painted over, and no step gets skipped to save time. If your roof is genuinely beyond restoring, we also offer full roof replacement and re-roofing.

Roof Restoration for Every Roof Type

We restore both tile and metal roofs, and the process changes with the material.

Tile Roof Restoration

Tile roof restoration repairs and reseals concrete or terracotta tiles without replacing the roof. We replace cracked and broken tiles, re-bed and re-point the ridge capping with flexible pointing, high-pressure clean the whole surface, then seal it with a protective membrane.

Concrete tile roofs lose their factory colour coating first and turn porous, which lets moisture soak straight in. Terracotta tile roofs hold their colour far longer, so they usually need re-bedding and re-pointing rather than a full recoat. We tell you which applies to your roof before we quote.

Colorbond® & Metal Roof Restoration

Colorbond® and metal roof restoration removes rust, secures loose sheets, and applies a fresh protective coating. We work on COLORBOND® corrugated, Trimdek and Klip-Lok profiles, as well as older Zincalume roofs.

Metal roofs almost always fail at the fixings and flashings long before the sheets give out. We re-screw, replace damaged flashing, treat every rust spot, then coat the roof so corrosion does not return.

COLORBOND® stays popular for good reason. It resists corrosion, needs very little maintenance, and comes in a wide colour range that suits most Australian homes. A restoration is also your chance to change that colour, and plenty of homeowners pair it with exterior painting for a full front-of-house refresh.

If your home sits close to the coast, ask our team about COLORBOND® Ultra for extra corrosion resistance.

Roof Restoration & Repairs Across Sydney

Searching for a roofer near you? Scorpion Roofing services Greater Western Sydney, so a local team handles your roof restoration or roof repairs, not a subcontractor sent from the other side of the city.

We work across Penrith, Kingswood, Werrington, Caddens, Orchard Hills, Oxley Park, Blacktown and the surrounding suburbs. That includes roof restoration in Penrith, roof restoration and roof repairs in Blacktown, and roof leak repairs right across Sydney's west.

Roof Restoration FAQs

What is roof restoration?

Roof restoration is the process of repairing, cleaning, re-bedding, re-pointing, priming and sealing an existing roof to extend its life, rather than replacing it. It fixes cracked tiles, rusted flashings, leaks and faded colour without the cost of a full re-roof.

How much does roof restoration cost in Sydney?

Roof restoration cost in Sydney depends on roof size, pitch, material (tile versus colorbond or metal) and the extent of repairs needed. As a guide, most Western Sydney homes fall between $3,500 and $13,000. Get an exact price with a free on-site quote.

How long does a roof restoration take?

Most residential roof restorations in Western Sydney take 3 to 5 days, depending on roof size, weather and the amount of repair work required before sealing or painting.

Can you restore a colorbond or metal roof?

Yes. Colorbond and metal roof restoration includes rust treatment, re-screwing loose sheets, replacing damaged flashing, and a fresh protective seal or repaint to stop corrosion and restore colour.

Can you restore a tile roof?

Yes. Tile roof restoration includes replacing cracked or broken tiles, re-bedding and re-pointing ridge capping, high-pressure cleaning, and applying a protective roof sealant to prevent water penetration.

Do I need a roof restoration or just a repair?

If the damage is isolated, such as a few broken tiles or a single leak, a roof repair is usually enough. If the roof is generally worn, faded, or has multiple issues, a full restoration is more cost-effective long-term than repeated repairs.

Do you offer emergency roof leak repairs?

Yes. We offer prompt emergency roof leak repairs across Greater Western Sydney for storm damage, missing tiles and sudden leaks. Call 0430 847 744 for urgent, same-week assistance.

What suburbs do you service?

We service Greater Western Sydney, including Penrith, Blacktown, Kingswood, Werrington, Caddens, Orchard Hills, Oxley Park and surrounding areas.

How often should a roof be restored or resealed?

Most roofs benefit from restoration or resealing every 7 to 15 years, depending on material and exposure. Regular inspections catch issues early, and our guide on how often you should inspect and maintain your roof explains what to check and when.

Gavi was very quick to respond to our work request and was great to communicate with on the lead up to the job. Very happy with the work on our old colourbond shed roof and will enhance the sale process.
